Virgin Active Padel & Pickleball Club

Nestled at the centre of the world-famous Lourensford Estate in Somerset West, this modern-day racket club is surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountain ranges in South Africa and a breathtaking garden that has to be seen to be believed. With a whole range of activities on the estate other than just padel & pickleball, this is a full-day experience for the entire family!

Padel and pickleball are two of the fastest-growing sports in the world, and are all about having FUN!

Padel can be described as a mixture of tennis and squash, and really gets the heart pumping with long rallies and epic points! It is always played in doubles, two vs two, making it a very social and enjoyable activity amongst friends and family.

Pickleball is massive in the USA with over 10,000 courts, and it has just hit South Africa! It combines table tennis and badminton and can be played as singles or doubles. Slightly easier than padel, this sport can be played by all ages.

We also have a brand new, beautiful clubhouse with showers, change rooms, and all types of refreshments, from coffee to beer. It boasts one of the most amazing views of the Helderberg in Somerset West.
