“The White Blend is the crème-de-la-crème of our white wines on Lourensford. Harvested from the very best sections of the top blocks on the farm. It is skillfully and meticulously blended from the best barrels in the cellar to express the essence of our unique terroir.” The wine is layered with fragrant aromas and exotic flavours. Lemon blossoms, wild daisies and fresh asparagus aromas first appear on the nose infused with nutmeg, butterscotch, white peach and pear aromas. With every sip more and more flavours are exposed hinting towards roasted pineapple, ginger, lemongrass and rooibos and ever so slightly wild buchu, saffron, vanilla and also black truffles. There are hints of wood aged characters but no visible oak. It is a beautifully crafted and sophisticated wine with a rich finesse of balanced fruit and acid, ending in a long, lovely finish. The wine has a brilliant colour – deep, dark, intense and bright with a vibrant rim. Aromas of ripe blackcurrant fruit with red berries greet you on the nose along with subtle hints of cigar box. The palate is soft and smooth, yet structured and powerful. Firm fruit tannins are beautifully balanced by well integrated soft oak flavours which promise age-ability, and gives structure and length. The First Fruit Chardonnay Pinot Noir is a crisp and fruity wine. The Chardonnay contributes fresh and crisp citrus tones to the wine while the Pinot Noir adds red fruit flavours of cherry, watermelon and rose water with hints of grapefruit and strawberries. The wine finishes with a refreshing acid balance on the palate. The strikingly beautiful rose-brass colour of the wine will lighten up any occasion. -

Intense ripe pineapple and melon flavours supported by white peach, apricot and hints of jasmine and lemon zest. Orange peel, roasted cashew nuts, toffee and vanilla flavours in the wine reminds of a wet pine forest floor in autumn. The wine has a brilliant acidity and strong core due to the natural fermentation. The roundness on the pallet and flavours of orange blossom and lemony zest is supported by a creamy finish. The wine has a deep, dark red colour. Aromas of plums and red berry fruitcake greet you on the nose along with hints of nutmeg. The nose is elegantly perfumed with black pepper, blueberries, star anise and liquorice surrounded with aromas of acacia flowers and graphite.
