Layered aromas of lemon blossoms and fresh asparagus first appear on the nose infused with nutmeg, Cape gooseberries and pear. It is skillfully and meticulously blended from the best barrels in the cellar to express the essence of our unique terroir.” The wine is layered with fragrant aromas and exotic flavours. Asparagus and green fig aromas first appear on the nose infused with spices of clove and hints of cinnamon followed by butterscotch, white peach and pear aromas. With every sip more and more flavours are exposed hinting towards roasted pineapple, lemongrass and rooibos and ever so slightly wild buchu, saffron, ginger and also black truffles. There are hints of wood aged characters but no visible oak. It is a beautifully crafted and sophisticated wine with lots of mystery, layered flavours and rich finesse of balanced fruit and acidity with a long, lovely finish and lingering aftertaste. For best results this wine should be decanted 30 minutes to 1 hour before consumption. Serve this wine between 12 -14 degrees C for best results. Download PDF

Made and aged with minimal intervention in terracotta amphora’s these wines are a true expression of perfectly balanced soils and meticulously selected grapes to produce an authentic Lourensford wine of honest purity that is true to nature.” The wine has elegant flavours of citrus, pineapple and melon on the nose. It is supported with white peach, green apple and hints of jasmine, lemongrass and ginger. The wine has a brilliant linear acidity and dominant dense mineral core with layered sweetness and balanced flinty acidity due to the natural fermentation and aging in the terracotta amphora. The roundness on the palate and a beautifully integrated texture with flavours of orange blossom and lemony zest supported by a concentrated textured finish coats your mouth and make you want to spend more time in the presence of this big wine. Made and aged with minimal intervention in terracotta amphora’s these wines are a true expression of perfectly balanced soils and meticulously selected grapes to produce an authentic Lourensford wine of honest purity that is true to nature.” The wine has an intense inky, dark purple colour. The nose is elegantly perfumed with black pepper, blueberries, star anise and liquorice surrounded with aromas of acacia flowers and graphite. The wine has a brilliant smooth acidity and dominant dense mineral core with layered sweetness due to the carbonic fermentation (fermentation in the whole berries) and aging in the terracotta amphora. The roundness on the palate and a beautifully integrated texture with earthy and savoury notes balanced with hints of cherries, cocoa and cooked beetroot and supported by a concentrated bold textured tannin finish coats your mouth and make you want to spend more time in the presence of this big wine.
